Common questions on COVID-19 & air conditioning systems

March 16, 2021

Here at Booth Air Conditioning we have continued to deliver our hygiene-critical services throughout the COVID-19 lockdown.

Our main focus and priorities have been supporting our NHS and Education clients. Now, given the recent government update and looking ahead to a gradual relaxation of the current restrictions, we are making plans to open up our services to all for routine maintenance, breakdowns, repairs and installations.

To help you in your planning process these are the answers to some of the most frequent questions we are being asked:

Do F-GAS renewal and checks still have to take place during the lockdown?

This announcement from REFCOM confirms mandatory checks of equipment under the F-Gas regulations must continue despite the lockdown restrictions.

Can Booth Air Conditioning work in conjunction with our deep cleaning specialist?

Professional cleaning and maintenance of your AC systems is a critical link in your hygiene chain and therefore we will be pleased to work in conjunction with any general cleaning partner you employ to ensure this vital work is carried out by Booth. This will help to ensure neither contractor negatively impacts the work of the other and your organisation remains compliant.

We wish to confirm to staff, students and the general public that maintenance of our AC systems has taken place. Can Booth provide evidence to confirm this work has been completed?

Booth Air Conditioning will provide a certificate of maintenance to any clients that wish to display such information in staff and public areas or on their website.

The consistent message is fresh air together with air movement and well-maintained systems can contribute significantly towards a much safer working environment – helping to prevent the spread of viruses and air-borne pollutants, or existing customers, we can call upon your full system service history and make service frequency, sanitation and running pattern recommendations. For new customers, we can provide a free site survey that will begin the process of ensuring your staff and customers are enjoying the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
