The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has released a report titled 'Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning Systems in the Context of COVID-19'. One of the three key messages highlighted in the report places huge significance on the maintenance of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. It further adds that if these systems are well-maintained they may have a complementary role in decreasing potential airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
